Students can now have a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel, resort and tourism management in the new joint program of Watertown Jefferson Community College and the College Paul Smith.
"This means that students can complete their field training. You will receive a college education without moving Paul Smith, president of CCM Carol A. McKee said.
Mrs. W. McCoy and John Mills, president of Paul Smith, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding partnership program activation Wednesday afternoon.
This starts a new GBA parent training initiative will give students the opportunity to receive a bachelor's degree in CCM.
"We understand that many of these students and works to improve access to different levels aimed at them," said Ms. McCoy.
Under this initiative for a new building of the JCC will be a high school project completed in late January.
There will be autograph sessions with other institutions over four years for bachelor programs in other subjects. The goal is to have five agreements in late January, Ms. McCoy said.
The importance of program management of tourism is great in this area because it is an important industry for the local economy. Tourism Management is also the subject of increasingly popular research, "said Ms. McCoy.

The new program, students attend class one evening per week. There are also online and distance learning several elements. Students receive a bachelor's degree in five semesters, "said Kathleen J. Herd, associate professor Paul Smith.
Ms. Herd is estimated that about 10 students participating in the summer, but this interest is growing as more people learn about the new program and, as word of the GBA more to help people in society.
